In 2015 we chartered a Seawind 1160 Lite from Whitsunday Escape for 14 days to tour the Whitsunday Islands. It was one of the most comfortable and best sailing adventures we have had. We fell in love with the 1160. Now a few years later, we decided to make a short video about our experience with the boat. I have sent you the link below. The video does show some of the Whitsunday Islands but it is mostly to show how wonderful it is to live on and sail the 1160. I hope you enjoy it. On the trip we took lots of pictures and videos but we did not have the idea to present a coordinated video. The video represents our thoughts and experience with no predetermination of actually creating a pro Seawind video. We will document the whole trip soon but this is for the boat.
We hope to own this boat one day. We presently have a monohull in Ventura, California. The 1160 is the only Cat I have sailed but I have been aboard many at shows. It is my personal opinion that none are better. We love the design. There are not all that many here in the states and it seems they are not promoted like Lagoons but if people had more exposure, how could they choose other brands?
