After the 2021 United States (Annapolis) Sailboat Show, the Seawind 1600 was inspected by the Cruising World judges for her nomination for the Boat of the Year 2022 award
Seawind Catamarans is thrilled to announce that one of our best cruising catamaran models, the Seawind 1600, has been nominated for the Cruising World’s Boat of the Year 2022 award. It is an honor for us to participate in the 2022’s BOTY competition, together with other 28 cruising boats and multihulls.
Following the 2021 Annapolis Sailboat Show, Cruising World judges had an on-water testing of the Seawind 1600 ‘Wanderlust’, home of the sailing couple @harborsunknown. Independent judges had had a throughout inspection of the boat. The sailing community holds high expectation of the Seawind 1600, which was awarded the Best Large Multihull in SAIL Magazine’s Best Boats competition and inaugural catamaran review series from Sailing Yacht Ruby Rose. And with the new Passagemaker edition, it is needless to say the we and the Seawind Community as a whole are keeping our fingers crossed that she will surpass another benchmark.
“After the absence of an Annapolis show last year due to COVID, it’s fantastic to see the downtown docks again full of cruising boats. With over two-dozen nominees, we have one of the strongest BOTY fleets in years. We can’t wait to get out and put them through their paces.”
Herb McCormick, Cruising World Boat of the Year director
