Congratulations to Karen – skipper on the Seawind 1000XL PLAY ON – has won the first in the Lady Skippers’ Yacht Race 2018, held by Newport Cruising Yacht Club.
“In the Moreton Bay region, Queensland, Australia, and, a very well sailed win, to “Play On” a Seawind 1000XL, skippered by my partner, Karen, with myself on the sheets.
This annual regatta, run for some 10 years, had in the fleet, a mixed range of monos, and cats.
Pictured is the race course, around lateral marks, and, the winning boats course, in red, the last leg, was a upwind tacking duel, to the finish.”
Hi .Just cruising the Seawind website and noticed the photo. We had Playon built by Seawind and sailed her to our home port of Yamba and in 2009 sailed to Darwin where your photo was taken prior to our cruise through Indonesia, Malaysia and onto Phuket.
Wonderful memories, where is Playon now ? Great boat!
