We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in the evolution of Seawind Catamarans. Our brand-new production facility in Turkiye is not only up and running but has officially moved into full production mode! After months of hard work, dedication, and fine-tuning, we are excited to share that the first Seawind 1170 produced in Europe has rolled off the production line, with many more already in the pipeline.
Designed and tooled in the long established Seawind production facility in Vietnam, the Seawind 1170 is the latest addition to the Seawind range. Hulls 1 & 2 were also produced at the main facility in Asia before all tooling was shipped to the purpose-built 5000m2 factory in Turkiye. This has allowed for extensive testing of hulls 1 &2 of this exciting new model to be thoroughly tested in both US and Australian waters, whilst the European production facility was under development. With minor improvements incorporated to the latest hull release, local manufacturing follows established Seawind processes and quality control for continuity on this compact but very capable performance cruiser.

This will translate, I’m sure, into many wonderful sailing experiences for our owners starting their journey in this most beautiful part of the world.”

The European Service Centre, is very well positioned to further deliver our high-quality cruising catamarans, beautifully crafted and ready for Mediterranean factory direct handover. Equally, the 1170 can be exported to any one of our dealers around the globe.
With strategic factory direct handover programs now offered in Turkiye, following success in Thailand, Seawind is focussed on offering exceptional service to our customers through well-structured and dedicated handover programs in incredible sailing destinations. We see that the service delivery in the initial stages of boat ownership are so important to long term customer success that we at Seawind are increasing our presence in the service and handover field, with direct handover programs in key destinations include Europe. Building customer confidence in a new and often complex product is so important, and why not do it at your own pace, whilst sailing in a safe, picture-perfect cruising location? Take as long as you need sailing in and around the local islands whilst enjoying the beauty of the Greek and Turkish coastlines. Possibly the perfect early sailing environment, this is low stress sailing during early ownership, safe in knowledge that help is just around the corner.
