Seawind & Corsair incorporated with Multihull Central hosted first regatta of this year on the 28th – 29th of January at the beautiful offshore Pittwater. Huge congrats to the success of annual Seawind & Corsair Pittwater Regatta 2022 without any issues.
There were around 20 strong fleet of Seawind catamarans and Corsair trimarans flocked to the picturesque waters of Broken Bay and Pittwater for a wonderful weekend of sailing and racing in marvelous conditions. It is not about the racing only but the time to put some sailing skills to test and meet other owners to share knowledge, a drink or two and some stories from their cruising adventures. For example, the video below will show you how to trim sail from the regatta.
With good breeze and sunshine it was the warmest weather for some time at this annual event and it certainly seemed to make for enthusiastic crew, almost too enthusiastic on a couple of the boats in Pittwater who traded some varnish on the start line. The guests had a good time together and hope that becomes memorable memories each year for those whose owns a Seawind or Corsair.
After thrilling moments of competition, the guests were impressed by the meal and drink came from qualified chef, absolutely a well-prepared lunch.
According to Multihull Central, let’s kudos to the winners of the event, the first was Seawind 1160 ‘Location’ skippered by Brett Hodder, with Seawind 1190 Sport ‘Taken it easy’ skippered by Rob Laurie finishing in second and Seawind 1250 ‘Sea Twist’ skippered by Rob Nairn & Mike Siebrecht in third.
Look forward to seeing all of you again at the October Regatta. Entry is now open for the next owners regatta to be held on the 7th & 8th October 2022 following the Lock Crowther Regatta with Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay. Entry available at www.multihullcentral.com/events
